Paris, Texas: May 8, 2024

I found myself storm chasing in North Texas today and I observed my first tornado of the year. A storm cluster formed just south of the Red River and intensified as it moved east-southeast.

It was a challenging area to chase, as there were a lot of trees blocking the view. For a couple of minutes, I saw a funnel spin over the countryside. From all accounts, this was a brief tornado that did not produce much damage. It occurred just to the northwest of Paris, Texas.
